Embratur and the Ministry of Sports have joined forces in an ambitious campaign to bring the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup to Brazil. Titled “Está Tudo Pronto” (It’s All Ready, in English), the initiative aims to show the world that the country already has the necessary infrastructure to host such a significant event, specially thanks to the experience and infrastructure from the the 2014 World Cup and the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Leading the campaign are players Cristiane and Tainá, along with former player Daniela, reinforcing Brazil’s commitment to women’s soccer.
In March of last year, had already expressed his support for Brazil’s bid to host the event. In a meeting with the then Minister of Sports, Ana Moser, the Minister of the Secretariat of Social Communication, Paulo Pimenta, and representatives from FIFA, Freixo highlighted the importance of this event for Brazilian tourism. According to him, the Women’s World Cup draws global attention, with record-breaking viewership and sold-out stadiums, as well as a significant influx of tourists from various continents.
Marcelo Freixo, president of Embratur, Brazil Tourism Board, emphasized the opportunity the event represents for Brazil. “We are facing a very important opportunity for our tourism, which will attract the world’s attention to Brazil. The Women’s World Cup is a well-established product in the global sports calendar, with record viewership, sold-out stadiums, and a large influx of tourists from all continents. It is an event that attracts investments and allows us to showcase to the world our diverse destinations, our commitment to sustainability and democracy,” he stated.
Last Tuesday (14), the Ministry of Sports used its official Instagram profile to highlight Brazil’s advantages as a host for the Women’s World Cup. The post emphasized that the country already has football arenas, modern airports, a robust hotel network and cities prepared for large events. Additionally, he mentioned the welcoming hospitality of Brazilians.
The decision on which country will host the 2027 World Cup will be announced on the 17th, during the FIFA Annual Congress, which will take place in Thailand.
